Disneyland opened in 1955. In 1956, the year my Dad was 2, his parents took him and his sister (pictured above) there for vacation. My grandmother kept very detailed scrapbooks. Above are pictures she took, below are postcards she had saved.
Notice the park was a lot more simple and bare then-a lot less rides and more open space. In fact, the original park had a genuine Native American village in it.
