I read: The Cinderella Castle was inspired by a variety of real palaces: these included Fontainebleau, Versailles and the châteaux of Chenonceau, Pierrefonds, Chambord and Chaumont, as well as Castle Neuschwanstein, Bavaria, the Alcázar of Segovia in Spain and also the Moszna Castle in Poland.
The Sleeping Beauty Castle is based on the late-19th century Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany, with some French inspirations (especially Notre Dame de Paris and the Hospices de Beaune).
Prince Eric's castle from The Little Mermaid is based on Chillon Castle, Switzerland, Veliki Tabor, Croatia, and Castello del Boccale, Italy.
I've read that too, that each castle has multiple inspirations (and there's the ones in the movies and the parks too) but most of them have primary inspirations, as you can really see in the pictures. I love that Disney does research like this
